Algorithm…

An algorithm is something clever,

It was probably bullied at school,

by the boys in the football team,

and the cool girls at summer camp.

It gets its revenge served cold,

by deciding who gets seen,

what shapes a popular view,

and why your words are ignored.

If you’re struggling to be heard,

reflect on the mistakes of youth.

Your writing is probably fine,

but algorithm remembers your name.

~

The day you stole their lunch,

and put them in the trash.

That’s why you’ve no subscribers,

you’ve only yourself to blame.

~

But all is not completely lost,

redemption within your grasp.

Just write a letter of apology,

and offer to wash their car 👍.
