Crazy Train…
This weeks writing prompt from Stories From The Jukebox (link below) is Crazy Train by Ozzie Osbourne (RIP).
Go visit, subscribe and get involved. It’s becoming part of my weekly writing routine and I’m very grateful for it.
The journey will begin on Tuesday,
everyone is desperate for a seat,
A chance to walk among them,
to see if it really is that bleak.
~
It won’t be around for much longer,
not the way some like to behave.
At last there’s a chance to visit,
before they destroy their own home.
~
Travelling by intergalactic railway,
we’ve called it the Crazy Train.
Those that live where we’re going,
have long since lost their minds.
~
We tune in at night in our millions,
to watch the madness unfold,
The highest rated reality show,
our world has ever seen.
~
The things that they get up to,
get more outrageous each day.
We mostly laugh at their antics,
but it can be desperately sad.
~
Although they look a lot like us,
That’s where the similarity ends.
We would never make judgments,
on who someone chooses to love.
~
A lot of them seem to be followers
of this guy who lives down our street.
Respects are paid on a Sunday,
while he is still fast asleep.
~
They do like a good fall out,
over the strangest of things.
Like who is best at mass murder,
or who can fell the most trees.
~
Ask them to judge a cake though,
and they come over all civilised.
There’s no way anyone from here,
accepts their sponge is too dry.
~
They let charlatans lead their people,
who share all the wealth with a few.
Rarely stopping to ask questions,
as to why so many are in pain.
~
So it’s all aboard the Crazy Train,
heading to the world of the bizarre.
With excitement and some trepidation,
our destination is Planet Earth 🌎.
I’d really appreciate you sharing this to support me and Stories From The Jukebox. I think it’s a newsletter many more would enjoy.
I hope you like reading my words. There’s plenty more where these come from. Subscriptions/Upgrades are valued such a lot ❤️.
If a ‘one off’ donation is more your cup of tea, you can do that here. Any amount appreciated.

Love this!
This is awesome, Phil. I've loved Ozzy since my teens and still rock hard to all Black Sabbath and solo Ozzy songs! So much so I also wrote about the unexpected impact of his passing in one of my posts. Rock on mate, keep riding the Crazy Train 🤘
