Stagnation Station…

Welcome to Stagnation Station,

a place where growth goes to die.

To have a little rest at the very least,

until the next reader comes their way.

Some writers stay here for ages,

others are gone in a flash.

They nip to the well-kept toilets,

then race to board the next train.

Heading to the promised land,

paid subscribers grow on trees.

There are multiple revenue streams,

and everyone likes your notes.

~

Others stay for much longer,

stuck on follower number five.

They do get to enjoy the coffee,

it’s priced with failure in mind.

~

The thing about this place however,

is that all is not as it seems.

You may think you are stuck here,

but we all get to leave in the end.
